Connamara Announces QuickFIX/n 1.11.0 Now with Enhanced Sequence Number Support and Conversion Between the FIX Trading Community’s JSON Encoding for FIX Protocol

October 12, 2023

Connamara, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the financial industry, is thrilled to unveil the latest version of QuickFIX/n, a high-performance implementation of the FIX protocol designed for .NET environments.

QuickFIX/n Version 1.11.0 now includes support for the FIX Trading Community’s Continuous Markets Working Group’s recommendation for sequence numbers that never reset, using 64-bit unsigned integers for the sequence number datatype. This significant advancement is the first step toward fully continuous markets that will enable market participants to trade without interruption.

Connamara’s active participation in the FIX Trading Community’s Continuous Markets Working Group has been integral to maintaining our relationship with users and industry experts who share in the pursuit of trading advancements.

QuickFIX/n 1.11.0 also supports the conversion to and from the FIX Trading Community’s JSON Encoding for FIX Protocol, a specification that Connamara wrote and co-chaired. Leveraging its deep knowledge and expertise, Connamara has spearheaded the creation of this encoding, providing market participants with a versatile and efficient means of working with the FIX Protocol in a JSON format. This support further enhances QuickFIX/n’s capabilities and underscores Connamara’s commitment to industry standards and interoperability.

Connamara has been involved with the QuickFIX project since its inception. Today, Connamara is an active maintainer of the original QuickFIX, author, and maintainer of QuickFIX/n and QuickFIX/go ports, a contributor to QuickFIX/j, and provides commercial support for all versions of QuickFIX (C++, C#, Java, Python, and Go).

See Release Notes for a complete list of changes in v1.11.0.
