Connamara’s Q3 Triumphs: A Season of Growth and Innovation

As Connamara heads toward the end of 2023, we’d like to take a moment to look back and share the exceptional accomplishments that have defined our team’s third quarter, from stand-out software updates to our 2023 brand refresh to a commitment to supporting causes that matter most to us.

As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape, Q3 2023 stands out as a testament to our dedication to innovation, client satisfaction, and active participation in the industry.

1. Unveiling Connamara’s New Look

A pivotal moment in the third quarter was the launch of Connamara’s revamped website, new brand colors, and logo. Collaborating with BOP Design, our team embarked on a journey to redefine Connamara’s visual identity, culminating in a fresh and modern aesthetic that mirrors our commitment to staying ahead in the industry. Read more about what went into our refreshed look.

2. QuickFIX/n 1.11.0 Update Release

Connamara unveiled QuickFIX/n Version 1.11.0. This high-performance implementation of the FIX protocol, tailored for .NET environments, is a significant stride in advancing trading technology. QuickFIX/n 1.11.0 introduces support for the FIX Trading Community’s Continuous Markets Working Group’s recommendation, incorporating 64-bit unsigned integers for the sequence number datatype. This pioneering advancement is the first step towards realizing fully continuous markets, enabling market participants to trade without interruption.

Our active participation in the FIX Trading Community’s Continuous Markets Working Group underscores our commitment to maintaining strong relationships with users and industry experts who share our pursuit of trading advancements.

Furthermore, QuickFIX/n 1.11.0 supports the conversion to and from the FIX Trading Community’s JSON Encoding for FIX Protocol—a specification that Connamara collaborated on and co-chaired. For a complete list of changes in v1.11.0, please refer to the Release Notes.

3. Client Success Stories

We take pride in the success of our clients, and though we’re not always able to share due to confidentiality, Q3 brought two outstanding stories we can brag about. One of our valued clients, a cutting-edge wealthtech startup, unveiled new tech we’ve been developing with them at the largest wealth management conference in the world, Future Proof, in Huntington Beach, CA. Working under a tight deadline to be ready for the event, the Connamara engineering team delivered over a million lines of code. The demos at the event were wildly successful and showcased the potential our client has to transform the wealth management industry.

Additionally, our collaboration with Watershed Technologies resulted in record volume, underscoring the tangible impact of Connamara’s solutions on our clients’ bottom line.

4. Industry Involvement: Connamara Sponsors The Innovator’s Pavilion

We are committed to fostering innovation within the industry, as evidenced by our exclusive sponsorship of the Innovators Pavilion at the FIA Expo 2023, which took place October 1-3 in Chicago. As a new member of FIA, Connamara was thrilled to contribute meaningfully to the Expo by supporting and providing a space for companies to showcase groundbreaking ideas. Connamara had the opportunity to hear pitches from several cutting-edge companies, including the winning ClearDox, the runner-up, CodeCompleteAI, and the People’s Choice Winner, Cumulus9. Connamara congratulates all the winners.

5. Commitment to A Cause: Down Syndrome Awareness Month

For Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October, Connamara expressed our heartfelt support with a $2000 donation to Gigi’s Playhouse – Detroit, an incredible organization and community center that provides free educational, therapeutic, and empowering programs for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families in an uplifting and inclusive environment.

A special shoutout to a cherished member of the Connamara family, Jack Gatny, son of our Chief Operating Officer, Mike Gatny, who introduced us to the wonderful work of Gigi’s Playhouse. Jack, your passion and commitment are truly commendable! We’d also like to recognize the late Penny Sue Horney, loving Aunt of Connamara’s Chris Kaufmann.

As we reflect on the achievements of the third quarter of the year, we extend our gratitude for the trust our clients place in us, the hard work of our dedicated team, and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Stay tuned for more updates as Connamara continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in Q4 and into 2024.

Thank you for being a part of Connamara’s journey.
